Little Felted Landscape...Finished

The fence was moved and a few flowers added to the foreground.
Thanks for your suggestions!

I wish I had given myself a little extra room at the bottom, because when I stretched the piece around a piece of Fast 2 Fuse Heavy Weight Interfacing, I had to cut off that little bit of green that showed where the trees were growing out of the ground.
Now the trees come straight up from the bottom of the picture which is slightly dorky looking...but next time I'll be aware of that.

One interesting discovery I made was that I could use the oil pastels directly on the felted wool fiber....then refelt it. This gave me a little shading along the edges of the hills that I liked.

I'm not sure what I'll take on next....maybe *gasp* some housework!

Your changes look wonderful. I would love to try something like this, but wouldn't know where to start. Do you have any suggestions?

Beautiful! I love all the shades of green in this.

No, not housework! That's what I did today and it is so much less satisfying!

Boy, did you get comments about the fence! ;0) It looks perfect where it is now. But I can't believe you said the evil word (whispering now) ***housework*** ... GAH!!! Nooooo!

Housework is a nasty word. Surely there is SOMETHING you can find to do instead?

What a difference in removing the fence! It's a lovely piece.

Much better fence - everything is just right.

Housework? I have children for that. No, really, they live here, they can do things to help out (and give me more sewing time!).

I am wondering the same thing that Walden is...

I do like the fence better now that it is moved.

Charming piece! I have been stuck doing remodeling housework for weeks...don't go there!

I'm glad the fence stayed true to who he originally was and just got moved back behind the trees...I think it looks great --

But housework, Allie? You're too creative for that...plus, isn't housework for the winter??

Oh my GOODNESS. This is so PERFECT!!! It's absolutely delightful, Allie - and I love the fence placement and the little flowers in the grass. They remind me of summer!

That's a pretty clever way to use paint and wool. The shading is spectacular.

(Forget the housework...)

This is beautiful - I can feel myself walking out there. At my house, I only resort to housework as extreme creative avoidance. Right now, my living quarters are neatly arranged and spotless, so I suppose I'll have to start painting today. I could, however, stall one more day and go outside for exercise, but it's too hot.
