Spring CQ...Green Corners Begun

This has been so interesting of a process to me. It is rare that a new large-scale project unrolls so smoothly! This has just been peaceful, methodical, and easy...
The green arcs went on in a mid-value range...the four corners will be darker green.
All of this of course is background...the embellishments will be much more saturated and vivid in the foreground....
Piecing the greens was a great way to spend my birthday, in between phone calls and emails from loving family members....God is very good to me, and I am grateful.

Oooohh....I'm hoping that the center is going to be PINK!! (I'm selfish; It's my favorite color.) I remember from your old blog you had a tutorial on curved piecing. Luckily, I printed it out at the time since all your old posts were lost. Problem is, I don't know where I stuck it. It'll turn up one of these days but I just LOVE the flow of your curved piecing...Bravo!

The center row looks like a warm glow! Happy Birthday! I was just thinking yesterday - today is the anniversary of my first NN article for which you had made that gorgeous CQ block - then took off for Mexico or somewhere, I believe. I had forgotten about the birthday element now also - hope you had a wonderful one.

I can't believe how fast you work -- only a couple of days and practically a whole quilt top pieced -- you're amazing! (also, Happy B-Day).

Hope you had a wonderful birthday.

It's so interesting to see how this quilt is evolving. I don't comment often but I do frequently read your blog. I made one small doll size crazy quilt and I really loved it. I plan to start a larger quilt soon and am inspired by your beautiful work.
