More RickRack

I just had to try holding up some of the embroidered rickrack around the inner frame that surrounds the H. Pin it in place, step back and look....Oh, yeah....sometimes you just know.....

I liked how the yellow stitching on the black rickrack mimicked the yellow beads around the outer edge, and also that nice scallop it gave to the inside of my frame. And it ties in with the rickrack around the little fans (which are all done now, completed as the Rockies took out the Diamondbacks 5 to 1.)
I am thinking I am going to have to do some weaving in and out of those blue chain stitches that create the outer most edge of the "H" frame....

Finishing up a long term crazy quilt project is really, really fun. All the tweaking just brings things more into focus..

I'll take your word on that "finishing up" part since I now have 2 In Progress to finish. Once IQF is over, it is back to CrazyLand for me.

Your piece is looking very cool!

Wow, the rick rack really adds energy to this composition. It's like it throws off electricity, especially with the yellow.

You are certainly having fun finishing this project. And how could you live without those rickracks ? :-)
It is a pleasure to see the progress from day to day.

The rick rack is perfect; I agree with you about the weaving in the other stitches. I'm going to be interested to see what color you choose--

Allie - I've been looking through your blog from the beginning and I wanted to tell you how beautiful your work is. I live a few hours north of you in WA, do you teach classes anywhere?
