Floral Tote, Take 2

The whole time I was working on this, I thought of it as my Chinese Take-Out Tote. The colors, the dragon brocades, the shape....I don't know.
It is definitely different!
This time I used my printed collaged floral fabric as a center panel, rather than cut up in crazy piecing. This particular print has a story I can't tell you!...someday I will.
Anyway, it is done...my Happy Tote...

Again, I am slightly dubious about this one... But I bet it would get a lot of attention out there in the world, full of farmer's market produce....

More like "Nutty"....I just got Kumiko Sudo's book about origami fabric flowers with a twist of silk ribbon added. Maybe a 3-D attempt will be next....

Ooooh, Allie! I would love to see you 3-D one of these. That would be very interesting!

Is that cording couched on? I'm assuming it is but it's a bit difficult to tell from the photo.

Yes, Pam, that cording is hand couched using some gold metallic floss.

OOOH I can see going shopping at the needlepoint store or the knit shop or the quilt fabric store carrying that tote and filling it up with wonderful "stuff." It's full of personality!! JAH

Also very pretty. Chinese Take Out would be a good title for it, since so many Chinese restaurants are Happy-something-or-other. =)
