Chaos and control are duking it out! Just like in a garden...just like in a life... ;-)
That center muslin shape is strictly as a visual boundary for now....Meanwhile, the orange Osteospermum that I often plant has "germinated" in my imagination and will be this afternoon's rainy day project. At least the weather is enabling me to get lots done on this quilt...

The colors are harmonious and the whole feel and aesthetic of this quilt are flowing nicely. It's a joy to watch. That blue flax looks good enough to plant...It's like watching a garden bloom...really it is...
"Germinating in the imagination," I love it. Apparently in this weather that's what you need is a good imagination, although I have a couple of brave nasturtiums that have begun to sprout. Now, if only the rabbits don't notice. ;) Have you decided what to put in the center?
I think "orderly chaos" is a wonderful description. That's what a flower garden is - and also your beautiful quilt.
Chaos & control duking it out--what a great concept!
I think the life of a needlewoman is always full of chaos and control. They are just kissin' cousins in my studio.
It looks like a very light-hearted CQ. It really is coming along beautifully.
Lovely metaphors for life. This is becoming a story quilt-at least there seem to be many stories singing in your mind as you work.
