Rose Window...progress

This past March I started a crazy quilt collage experiment. Now that Market and classes, patterns and traveling are behind me I've decided to finish this before embarking on new work during the summer.
How good it is to be back stitching in my sewing room!

It feels like it has been a long time....

....that I have gotten to play with my flowers...

...and use some of my button treasures.
This is all done except for the binding. It will use a special ribbon that hasn't arrived yet. I can't wait to use it! It measures around 17" X 17".
Meanwhile, here is the overall shot.

Ah, this felt good... ;-)

  3. Beautiful as always! It was so much fun taking a class from you in CT and I look forward to seeing you again in the future. I just got back from a 3 week road trip and can't wait to get back playing with my CQ pretties - especially to be able to use some of the flowers that you taught us to make.

BTW - love the new hair cut!!!

  5. Hi Allie

It is so wonderful and a great use of a complete large doily. No cutting there.

I must tell you that I was in JoAnnes to look for a couple of mags for the car ride back to CHI and there was your book. 3 copies of it sitting there. A lady was looking at it and I said oh you won't regret buying that book as it is wonderful. She said I have already 2 others in my cart and shouldn't. I told her how wonderful it was for a beginner to advanced with so many ideas. She hesitated and then said well I had better take it. Do I get a commision? Maybe I could just stand there in JoAnnes and encourage people as they walk by.

I really believe every word I told her and I am sure it is going to be a great seller for a long time.

    Hugs
