Jill's Quilt....Top Finished

The top is all sewn together. I won't be actually finishing this for a little while but have come to a really good stopping point for now.
I like how it came out! Very 60's, as Barbara said.

I am going to quilt it. (Gasp!)
Around the blocks, mostly, but it needs some quilting in the green area of the center too. Any ideas for that, anyone?

Could you quilt intersecting hearts in the green center area? That would be very fitting. The quilt is beautiful and very cheerful!

P.S. While at Empty Spools last week, I saw that you're going to be an Artist in Residence next year, congratulations!

Allie, I don't know how you feel about peace signs, but it might be fun and 60's to do a sashiko kind of stitching with rows of peace signs (both horizontally and vertically). Just a thought. Amy in LA

Fun - yes, certainly has that late 60's/early 70's look!

That is so lovely! You could always do " love, love, love " throughout the green in green thread to add texture without taking away from the other shapes and colours, although I think it's a lovely place to rest one's eyes in between all the other eye candy.

It's beautiful! All those clean angles look so crisp. Unfortunately, I don't have any quilting ideas.

This is one beautiful quilt Allie! I think I must have sent the last link to the wrong email address for Jill because I haven't heard from her. I'm going to try to track her down...she's going to love this!
