Victorian Stitchery Retreat Fall 2011

I am so pleased to let you know that I will be teaching at Valerie Bothell's Victorian Stitchery Retreat in Witchita, Kansas this November!
I dearly love our nation's Heartland and am so excited to be part of this year's VSR. It will be held at a new venue for the retreat this year, the Hotel at Old Town in the center of a wonderful pedestrian friendly and culturally rich part of town.

I'll be teaching a class in Home Portraits, which you have seen many examples of here on the blog...and another in a technique for creating curved crazy quilt blocks with a border too.

Read Val's post for more information; she'll be showcasing the other three teachers in her next post (each one of whom I wish I could take a class from myself!)...you will find information on how to attend there as well. Would love to see you in Kansas!

  3. Kansas??!?!? Did you say Kansas??!?!?! Allie, you must wave as you fly over! I'm in the middle of a cornfield about 3.5 hours NW of Wichita. I'm sure you'll spot me!

After all, there are so few corn fields around here....

  4. Just wanted to say that I received my copy of your book yesterday evening! FABULOUS! I have a lot of CQ books and after getting a chance to really read through it at work last night, I think yours is the best of the lot! Loved seeing so much of your beautiful work as well as that of other CQ'rs who I admire so much! So, here's a toast to a job well done and a thank you for a fabulous tool to refer to often! It's just beautiful!
