"High Summer"...Stitching Almost Done

The embroidery over this printed photograph on silk is just about completed, which is good, as I am ready to move on!
Still, it has been fun to work my way towards the foreground of the image. Another day or two of stitching in the shade here (it's been blazing hot in the Northwest this week) and I should be ready for the next step, which is attaching the borders....

Hope you all are enjoying your High Summer too....

  1. I'm glad to hear that someone's having a summer!

On a more cheerful note - I think you've struck just the right balance between bringing out the details and leaving well alone! There is just enough texture and not too much.

  4. It's very pretty the way the textures in the foreground invite you into the image. Is that a river they seem to point to in the horizon?

  7. Very pretty, Allie. Do you think you could do a real close up of one of the corners so we could see the details? Hope you've cooled off; we sure have! I was freezing yesterday.....
