Spring in the Columbia Gorge

Oh, one last thing before I go.....I really wanted to share this photo.
My friend Mitch Hammontree took this from the viewpoint of Cape Horn in the Columbia Gorge, not too far from where I live. This is what early spring looks like around here....turbulent!

But it is also sweet.....

My first flowers!
Yay, Spring!!!!
......Bye again..................

  2. Have a great trip to NM! No flowers here but we do have some snowy pussywillows. These past few days have had the craziest weather!

What plant is the little green leaf with purple flowers in the second picture?

  6. Have a great time in New Mexico and you better leave that credit card at home. I can just imagine the beautiful beads that will be there.

So happy that Spring has sprung for you. I am already thinking home and gardening but May is more like it for us.

    Have fun.

  8. Ohhhh, I miss that scene! I flew up last Fall to see my son/dil and my folks in Eugene... so I didn't get to take the usual drive up thru the Gorge! Yep, nothing quite like the Pacific Northwest. Our bulbs are just barley poking their heads out of the ground... about 2 inches or so! Sighhhhhh! LoL
    Great pictures... thanks for sharing!

  10. I love that landscape!! The way the cloud masses are reflected in the water, and the sun just peeking through!!
And your violets are looking so happy!!
