9/11/01

My Uncle Hal painted this while watching TV that day, the tears streaming down his face.

It is good to heal, but we will never, ever forget......

  1. Your Uncle had some real talent. So nice of you to share with us.
I think that this day will always stay with us. Hopefully people will also remember the support people gave to complete strangers, and how our country became united once again. It's a shame that it took something such as this to do it!
A couple days after 9/11/01 our family group participated in a bike race from Logan, Utah to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I had never seen so many American flags in all my life! (And I was in the Navy!) Everyone, had one... including people who sat on the side of the road to watch the riders ride by! It makes me cry now to think of it again... (sorry that's just how I am!)
    God Bless America!

  2. What startling image: it brings back a lot of memories. This is always a hard day--my daughter in particular feels very traumatized by the events of that day.
