The idea all along with the felted landscapes was to add the detail with handwork on top of the felted background. This is what has gone since yesterday....
Oh yes, those are dandelions! This still has a ways to go.....
Dynomite! I passed a big apple orchard on the road to SLO the other day...the trees are in full blossom and they look just like the trees in your piece.
Amazing! I just don't know how you do it. I heard a Teaching Company lecture on Mozart yesterday in which Greenberg described Mozart's compositional method. He never wrote notes, never crossed out, just wrote out the whole score at once. Even while conversing! It was all in his head and as he said, he just had to write it out. I thought, oh, that's the way Allie creates her works. Boom, there it is!
Hello Allie, My DH bought me an embellisher several years ago and for the last year it has been setting in the corner looking sad because it has not been used. You have motivated me to get my embellisher back out and work on a project as gift for my dear friend. Thanks. You do lovely creative work. Judy
Looks very realistic to me! Aren't the flowering plums pretty? They sure suffered though in our recent snow.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really lovely picture Allie. - maureen x
