Ooof! Orlando to Portland flying west is a long, long haul...especially when surrounded by 2, 4, and 5 year olds all coming home from Disney World!
But I did manage to start on the block I am contributing to this year's healing quilt that a group of us are doing.
Ahh, it is good to be stitching again!
I want to thank you all for your wonderful comments about Freda's quilt....I hope it will encourage her to try blogging! She has so much to offer all of us.
I need to get oriented on the domestic front, but am looking forward to catching up on everyone's blogs tomorrow...
Those green leaves are beautiful. Ribbon embroidery, right?
ReplyDeleteIncredible leaves!! I like Freda's pants - forgot to say that. This block is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen ribbon leaves quite like that before. They're great.
ReplyDeleteOooo, that delicate green silk, looks so beautiful with what you've done. Love it as always.
ReplyDeleteFreda's kimono is beautiful too.
Allie, do tell! What size ribbon did you use to do the leaves on that vine? It's stunning and I must try it!
ReplyDeleteI have to ditto the comments on the leaves - it looks as if you've layered regular "ribbon stitch" petals, but to a really interesting effect. Really nice!!
ReplyDeleteThose leaves are gosh-darned amazing!
ReplyDeleteThose leaves are simply incredible. And that kimono quilt? OMG. Wow!
ReplyDeleteOh Allie ! this seam treatment is SO beautiful!
