This year one of my VERY favorite people there will be getting a quilt, and our blocks are to have the theme of flowers and leaves--any color, any technique, 8" square.
I thought this would be a great way to play with some scraps of my photo transfered floral fabrics...I save every tiny bit of them.
I will cross stitch my name in that little silk patch in the center after I get there....no other embellishment, though, as this is going to be quilted.This sure was fun!!! Thanks for your well-wishes about my time there...I plan on drinking lots of coffee and sleeping as little as possible!

Good plan about the coffee and little sleep. The little piece of lace is awfully pretty. Hmmmmm. Have you noticed how fine that block looks with the color of your blog on the sides? WOW!
This brings back that summer sunshine from last year. It will be so pretty in a bigger quilt. Enjoy your quilt retreat-sounds like it will be great fun.
I love the curviness of the block and those flower pieces really make it look like a garden. There will be stitching only, is that what you mean? I like blocks like that anyway.

This is beautiful, I love the colors. The idea of a friendship quilt is very nice.
