Floral Mock-Ups

As you can see, I am just starting to go off the deep end here, a place I dearly love to be.
These are paper mock-ups I am playing with.

Over at Thinking Out Loud, Barbara Curiel has been making some wonderful quilts from a book called Sew One and You're Done: Making a Quilt from a Single Block by Evelyn Sloppy. I am thinking that concept could work with all these floral units I am generating.
But it is too soon to tell. This could go anywhere.....

What a great idea: the one-block floral fabric quilt!

indeed - this could go anywhere! What fun playing in the flowers on your table. I love the "concept" part of designing - before the "real work" begins. Be sure to keep your notebook handy to jot down ideas as they pop!! But I'm sure you already do that, being a super organized person. JAH

I think off the deep end is the very best place for an artist to do her best work! Go with the flow!

Gorgeous!
Hey, I was just updating you on the "Bloggers who embellish" list (http://www.ringsurf.com/netring?ring=embellish;action=list)
and you don't have the code on...I emailed it (the code), but not sure if it went to the right address.
Anyway, let me know if you still want to be on it - you should be able to email me on my blog!

I love seeing you doing the mock ups from paper printed flowers. That's the method I finally came up with on my flower photo pieces. I'm not brave enough to do these improvisationally. The darn fabric sheets cost too much to waste.
